About the event

Celebrate Women’s History Month with an inspiring afternoon at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center on Saturday, March 28. The event begins at 3:00 PM with the opening of a special exhibit honoring Lt. Diana O. Williams, recognizing her legacy of service and leadership in our community. Guests are invited to enjoy a reception at 3:30 PM, followed by a 4:00 PM panel conversation, Women of Impact: Celebrating Leadership, Service, and Entrepreneurship in Our Community. Featuring respected community leaders Jonnetta Patton, Patricia Shackelford-Gray, and Dr. Edna Varner, this dynamic discussion will highlight the experiences, achievements, and lasting influence of women who continue to shape Chattanooga. Join us for an afternoon of reflection, inspiration, and celebration of the women who lead, serve, and uplift our community.
